Trauma Nurse Practitioner

Summary: The Trauma Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (TPNP) is responsible for the assessment of the trauma patient and participation in the development of the plan of care from resuscitation to rehabilitation. The TPNP will round daily and document the progress toward healing. The TNP will collaborate with other members of the healthcare team in the care of the injured child and participate in discharge planning and patient/family teaching. The TNP will participate in department performance improvement and injury prevention activities.
